The Life and Crimes of Hoodie Rosen written by Isaac Blum and published by Philomel Books, an imprint of Penguin Young Readers, a division of Penguin Random House.
Yehuda "Hoodie" Rosen is a teen whose Orthodox Jewish community has just moved to a quiet, mostly gentile town, and the people - especially the Mayor - aren't especially welcoming. When Hoodie befriends Anna-Marie, the mayor's daughter, his community turns on him for siding with the enemy, especially after a series of escalating anti-Semitic crimes. Hoodie has to decide where he stands and figure out where he belongs.

Congratulations Isaac Blum for this astonishing accomplishment and hope that he will continue to inspire us at ATLAS77 with works as monumental as Hoodie Rosen

Last semester when I was almost done with a big law essay I felt overwhelmed and had to late at night because IBJJF Approved Gi I needed fresh eyes on my formatting and grammar. It made me realize asking for help can really lift a weight off your shoulders.

Such wonderful news to hear about this recognition for talented storytelling and impactful narratives. Exploring these kinds of characters always adds so much depth to our reading lists. When I think of iconic characters, a classic John Dutton Quilted Jacket often comes to mind as a symbol of strength. To find pieces that tell a story, America Outfits is a wonderful resource.
