Sarai Shavit is a poet, author, and literary editor. She has published two books of fiction and three poetry collections. Her award-winning poetry has been translated into Italian, German, English, Portuguese, and Malayalam. Shavit has won, among others, the Tel Aviv Municipality Poetry Prize and Goldberg Prize for Literature. Her book FIGURES OF SPEECH received the special ADEI WIZO Adelina Della Pergola Literary Prize (2023) and has been translated into Italian and Portuguese. Shavit is a co-editor of the literary magazine Moznayim and teaches literature and creative writing at Tel Aviv University and the University of Turin.
