Amir Tibon
Amir Tibon is author of the award-winning book THE GATES OF GAZA: A STORY OF BETRAYAL, SURVIVAL AND HOPE IN ISRAEL'S BORDERLANDS, a personal memoir of the October 7 attack combined with a broad history of Israel and Gaza. For this book, he has received the 2025 Wingate Prize, a National Jewish Book Award in the autobiography and memoir category, the WIZO prize in France and the Bernstein Prize in Israel. Amir has served as a diplomatic correspondent, U.S. correspondent and senior editor for Haaretz, Israel's paper-of-record. He is also the co-author of THE LAST PALESTINIAN: THE RISE AND REIGN OF MAHMOUD ABBAS (co-authored with Grant Rumley), the first-ever biography of the leader of the Palestinian Authority.
