Gon Ben Ari was born in Nahalal, Israel in 1985. He is the author of two novels, NURSERY’S RESIDENTS (2006) and THE SEQUOIA CHILDREN (2010). He is also a journalist, screenwriter, musician, and illustrator. He has written for Israel’s most widely-read newspaper, Yediot Achronot, as well as for The Jewish Daily Forward. As a screenwriter Ben Ari wrote for Gam La'em Magia ("They Deserve It, Too"), a comedy show by Uzi Weill, and he created the Israeli TV show Bekitzur (adapted from the French Bref.) Ben Ari won The Jerusalem Film Fund award for the development of his script Der Mensch, a Yiddish-speaking Hassidic Western, set to go into production in 2015.
