Ariel Hirschfeld is an author, literary scholar and essayist. Among his previous books: NOTES ON A PLACE (Am Oved, 2000), TOWARD THE LAST OF THE GODS: The Fountains of Rome (Keter, 2003) and THE TUNED HARP: The Language of Emotions in H.N. Bialik`s Poetry (Am Oved, 2011). He is Professor of Hebrew Literature at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Together with Ronit Matalon he co-authored UNDUE INFLUENCE, an epistolary novel born out of a literary correspondence between the two authors.
